• Four children playing inside a soft play area designed to look like a small house, with colorful bunting hanging on the wall.
  • Five children dressed in colorful costumes for a play, standing on a checkered rug in a classroom or playroom, holding stuffed animals and toys, with colorful dot decorations on the wall behind them.
  • Two young children with blonde hair and pink shirts are playing on a colorful indoor play tunnel with vertical bars. They are facing each other and holding the bars.
  • A young girl with a heart-covered face playing with colorful translucent fabrics or scarves in a cozy wooden room decorated with plush toys and educational posters.

Play is often talked about as if it was a relief from serious learning, but for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.

Parking at The Village

Satellite map showing streets, landmarks, and businesses in a downtown area, including a parking lot, a mural, a diner, and various restaurants and stores. Streets include Bridge Street, Water Street, and Commercial Street.

There is street parking for our families on both Water Street and Commercial Street. The walk from Commercial Street to The Village is less than 400ft (2 min walk) with nice, stroller friendly sidewalks.

Please note that parking on Water Street ENDS just before The Village doors. There is NOT street parking from the intersection to the doors (highlighted in RED.) Street parking is highlighted in YELLOW on this map. If you cannot find parking in any of the YELLOW areas, there is more parking on the dirt road above Commercial Street (highlighted in GREEN!)

Fun fact: the walk from further back in the Walmart parking lot to the doors of the store is actually 100-200ft LONGER than the walk from parking on Commercial St. to the doors of The Village. It seems longer than it is because you’re parking behind the building, but it’s really very quick.

Hi! My name is Chynna. I got my BS in Child Development and Family Relations and MS in Human Development from the University of Maine. I became a new mom in the height of the pandemic and spent the first 2.5 years as a stay at home to my son. That experience showed me how sad and isolating parenting can be and I needed a space to interact with other parents going through a similar chapter of life. I needed that “Village” everyone talks about. So I made one.
